What a year it has been!

It is hard to believe that we are in the last month of 2020! It has been a challenging year, but it has given us time to reflect on our purpose and consolidate our plans so that we can fulfill some of our goals more effectively. One of our goals is to ensure that we facilitate additional people going through our reserve area and enjoying nature.

Our 4th community Market takes place on Sunday and this has been a huge success in achieving that goal as well. Our acting market manager has advised that he has a bumper amount of stall holders who have paid for their space and chomping at the bit to get out there and sell… sell.

The boat rides have become a huge hit and this exposes people to the beauty of our environment and also the devastating effects of littering even if it is far away from the actual vlei.

That message is brought over in a very dramatic way as we show them the litter in certain inlets!

It works as it then becomes a discussion point with the messages being spread in the communities.

FoZR Bric a Brac Stall
We are looking for donations of your unwanted goods – literally ANYTHING that you don’t want or need anymore and someone else might !

BENEFITS OF DONATING THESE ITEMS TO FoZR include:
1. Create space in your home?
2. One persons junk is another’s treasure
3. ALL proceeds/funds raised will go to getting our Team back onto the water to clean up the litter that has entered the Vlei since the last big rains flattened the static Litter Traps (we are working on getting these repaired again, which is a slow process unfortunately)

The market manager (Kevin) will be at CTEET on Saturday the 5th December from 16.00 till 17.30 to accept your donations. If you cannot make the Saturday drop off, pop in on Sunday morning before 08.20 and hand them in at the FOZR stall.
