Greetings All,

A very interesting event that will benefit our environment…… Please diarise.

Dear WESSA Members, Affiliated Friends Groups and their Members,

The University of the Western Cape is in the planning phase for the Faunal Survey which is happening on Friday 19 October from 5 pm – 11 pm (briefing starts at 5h30 pm, walk starts at 6 pm) and Saturday 20 October from 6 am – 12 pm, and would like to extend an invite to assist on Saturday 20 October with a Flora survey.
If you know of anyone else that would like to participate, please distribute the advert and have them email Laurenda van Breda ( directly with their details.
Friday evening: Will be working in a 6-block system. Each block will get a minimum of 10 participants to survey over two  sessions of two hours each.  Students will be mixed in the groups so there will be knowledge of all fauna found in each block.
Saturday:  The 6-block system will not apply.  Various surveys will be running simultaneously like the snake board checking, bird ringing, bird watching, sherman trap checking, etc.

Be a Friend 🙂
