****Save the Date***False Bay Nature Reserve Birdathon: Fun Walk and Festival***6 May 2017

BirdLife South Africa, the Cape Bird Club and the City of Cape Town will be hosting the fifth annual False Bay Nature Reserve Birdathon: Fun Walk and Festival on the 6th May 2017 at the False Bay Nature Reserve. The event will draw on the successes of previous years, and provide some small improvements to our already successful model. The Fun Walk approach will once again have a continuous start from 08h00 – 09h30; as participants arrive they can immediately register and begin walking; allowing participants to slow down and enhance their learning experience during the walk. The Festival component (from 09h00 – 13h00) is again planned to include many of the favourite exhibitors, such as Eagle Encounters, the Cape Reptile Association and a “carnival-like” atmosphere at the picnic area on the Eastern Shore of Zeekoevlei.
