THE BEST TIME TO PLANT FYNBOS

30 May Posted by in Uncategorized | Comments

Now is a good time to plant fynbos or plants in general. The ground is reasonably wet and even if there are some dry patches, as long as you water in after planting, the ground should stay wet until summer. If you are planting fynbos, remember not to add any fertilizer or compost.

Visit the Cape Flats Fynbos Nursery at Rondevlei Nature Reserve for a range of locally indigenous plants. They are arranged according to three vegetation types: Strandveld, Sand fynbos and Wetlands. All of these do well at Zeekoevlei, depending on the situation.   Happy Gardening!
