Refurbishment of Zeekoevlei Weir Bridge

The pedestrian foot bridge at the Zeekoevlei weir is much used by local residents in the evenings and weekends. The bridge is structurally sound, however it is in need of some TLC.

A few dedicated members of FoZR will be heading over on Saturday morning (15 October 2016) at 8:30 to give the bridge a rough sanding down and a lick of varnish.

We will have the use of a generator, so if you have power sanders (and sanding belts) please bring them along.

We need all the help we can get to complete the job, so please do join us and contribute to maintaining a valuable piece of infrastructure used by many!

What about the varnish, brushes and terps etc? Is that all in hand, or is that for another day?
