Please note that the Rondevlei public footpath is in the process of being upgraded. As a result we will be closing certain sections of the pathway as needed, for safety precautions, over the next few months. The project began 9 June 2014. We are currently busy preparing the base course ahead of later resurfacing with brick paving.
From Monday 28 July a section of the pathway from just after the 4th bird hide (Patrick Wheeler) until the end of the path will be closed until further notice, while we extend our trenching & compacting work. We anticipate this section to be closed for at least one month. Visitors will still have access to the first four bird hides & all our other facilities, but there is strictly no access allowed to the rest of the pathway, as it is a construction site.
Thanks to everyone for their patience & cooperation in this regard.
Kind regards
Tamaryn Allan
