The Drawdown (opening of the weir) will take place on 27th of April (same every year) – it is a time to sort out boats, do reed maintenance (according to your reed maintenance plan – if you dont have one contact the Zeekoevlei reserve manager. email : Victoria.Day@capetown.gov.za) clean up the shoreline etc. The weir will be closed again early August.
