Greetings All,
We trust that you are all safe and sound in these unusual circumstances we find ourself in as a country. Tough, but needed to ensure that we are protected as much as possible. Our hearts and wallets go out to the less fortunate out there! It was great to see our residents generously supporting the councillors drive to support the less fortunate… WELL DONE ALL!
For emphasis, let’s state the obvious ……
- Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
- Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
- Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell
- Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell
- Touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean
- Walk dogs outside your property.

LOCAL DONATIONS
Zeekoevlei Superette
Zeekoevlei is part of Ward 67 . Our councillor is Gerry Gordon. She is working hard to ensure that the needy in our ward are taken care of during this difficult time. Ms Gordon has identified six areas in our ward in need of food parcels & soup kitchens. Mr & Mrs Kay at the Zeekoevlei Superette are helping with this food collection/donation drive. There are three ways in which you can contribute:
- Cash donations received at the Superette or via EFT into the Kays’ bank account. Councillor Gordon will ensure that cash donations go towards purchasing soup ingredients & gas for the soup kitchens.
2. R200 cash donation for food hampers, which the Kays will be making up. Each hamper consists of: tea, sugar, milk, rice, coffee, beans, tinned fish, jam, peanut butter, noodles & margarine.
3. Or, you can buy groceries & drop them off at Mr Kays. These are the items needed:
